Sarah Siska

Executive Director

Sarah Siska is a settler woman of Slovak, French, and English descent, born and raised in Thunder Bay on the north shore of Anishinaabe Gitchi-Gami (Robinson-Superior Treaty lands). She holds a Master’s degree from Lakehead University, where she studied justice-oriented food systems in the Lake Superior watershed.

With a background in Critical Indigenous Studies and experience in food policy, cooperative organizing, and community development, Sarah’s work is rooted in reciprocity, ecological interdependence, and decolonial practice. She believes deeply in the power of food to bring people together, and in the importance of collaboration to systemic change.

Outside of work, you can find her crafting or playing in the dirt.
