Join us on Friday August 21st from 2 to 4pm for an afternoon of plant harvesting on the land, tea making, and sharing traditional foods!

We will meet at Lakehead University in the Gakina Nindinawemaaganag Lounge (ISSC Student Lounge) room UC1007. From there will we take a walk on the LU campus to harvest plants together. Afterwards, we will return to the student lounge to make tea, learn about harvesting plants in the Thunder Bay area, and eat traditional foods. This event is for Indigenous young people ages 16 +.

This event will be facilitated by Shelby Gagnon, Indigenous Food Sovereignty Coordinator at the Food Action Network, and Helen Hill, traditional medicine Knowledge Holder.
