Kim McGibbon is a Public Health Nutritionist at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit. She began her participation with FAN back in 1999, as a Food Security Coordinator, and then went on to be the chair. Her experience with food access and food literacy is varied as she has been involved in community gardens and kitchens, helping to start the Good Food Box and she was involved in development of the local Food Charter. Presently, Kim works in the area of food insecurity and Indigenous Food Sovereignty.
Kim was born in Peterborough Ontario but has been living In Thunder Bay since 1998. In her life beyond food, Kim is a yoga and pilates instructor, a mom of a fantastic daughter, and a lover of the outdoors. Kim dreams about a time in her life where she can share her love of yoga around the world by teaching in warm places and eating delicious food.
