Jodi was born and raised in Thunder Bay. After teaching secondary school in Alberta and England for a few
years, Jodi returned with her husband, Kevin, to take over the reins of their family’s fruit and vegetable farm in
2001.
Over the last 20+ years, Jodi has been active in our local food system community through the early days of the
Food Action Network/Thunder Bay & Area Food Strategy, the board of the Thunder Bay Country Market, Slow
Food Superior, edible school garden education, and through various speaking engagements, workshops and
classes. Jodi now finds herself spending her days growing, canning, cooking and eating; sharing her love of
sustainable, seasonal and locally grown food with whomever is willing to pick up a fork and join her.
